Oakley Gray Architects Limited

Oakley Gray Architects Ltd is an accredited New Zealand Institute of Architects Practice operating from our own building at 567 George Street, Dunedin. The present company was formed in October 2009 when previous senior employees Peter Porteous and James Stodart bought out the share of John Gray, and so joined Norman Oakley as directors. Prior to this in early 1992, John Gray joined the long-established practice of Oakley Pinfold Turvey & Co. and the firm was rebranded under the Oakley Gray logo. In turn, Oakley Pinfold Turvey & Co. derived from the merger in 1963 of two pioneer architectural practices, McDowell Smith and Mandeno & Fraser separately responsible for many notable buildings erected during the early European development of New Zealand.
